John Cummings born in October 8,1948 on long island, veteran of the military academy life whose claim the terpedoes temperant was a crucial in keeping the band alive in its lowest ebb. Johnny contends to this day that he had no influences what so ever as a guitarist,he picked the instrument balatedly at the age of 22 purchasing a 50 dollar mosrite in january 1974 on a trip with dee dee to the mahhattan guitar emporium manny. He learned only what the deemed essential to make his disire music pure white rock n'roll with no blues influence.Johnny wanted the band to sound original as possible.Johnny played the bass in a forest hills psych combo The Tangerine puppets with tommy in guitar.Then in 1974 Johnny,dee dee and joey form the ramones with johnny on guitar.Johnny made history through at the last 22 years that he played with the ramones.in 2002 the ramones where inducted into the rock n'roll hall of fame where johnny gave a speech god bless president bush and god bless america.2 years later Johnny lost his battle againist cancer and died at the age of 55.The Ramones are one of the greatest band of the century.....
