What?
Today The Scene is a DIY collective located in Nuremberg, Germany. Our main goal is the creation of our scene. So what does this mean? It means that some people bundle their energies in order to do things more effectively, improve communication & interaction in our hometown Nuremberg. Based on the DIY punk/hardcore ethics we promote local shows, are in the process of doing a zine and try realizing many more of our ideas. Those include workshops, free movie performances and anything that will come to our minds.Who?
No one is excluded! (Well, apart from fascists, sexists, racists, homophobics and scum like that of course) We want to find out what people being active in the underground have in common rather than finding reason after reason to split this scene further and further, with the effect of a "it's every man for himself and let the devil take the hindmost" mentality. We don't want a seperation between punk, hardcore and metal. We don't care about oldschool or newschool as open-mindedness and tolerance are in our eyes values that count much more than any elitist crap. Conclusions
Don't get us wrong. Our tolerance isn't apathy and of course has it's limitations. Nevertheless we as a whole reject the adaption of any doctrines. We want to change something and therefore it would be ridiculous to exclude us from changing. Tolerance begins where agreement ends.WE ARE A GROWING FORCE OF CHANGE!
