I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Yvette reaches out to the youth with an urban flare. Originating from a long line of warriors from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to the mountains of Mescalero Apache Country, Yvette integrates her contemporary lifestyle with traditional beliefs. Carrying her Masters degree in Special Education with ten years experience and accompanied by her versatile talents as a hip-hop artist, Yvette shares her diversity nationally with various schools, inner city youth centers, reservations and museums. Her mentoring and counseling initiatives provide outreach services for youth through dance, poetry and the visual and performing arts.
Her messages and endeavors provide healing to youth through the essence of urban funk and expression through creative vehicles youth can relate to and identify. Yvette’s teachings are rudimental with her beliefs. She conceptualizes and empowers programs which offer provision, protection and molding of our younger generations by building hope, self-love and endurance for life.
Yvette is also the proud founder of Life Song Arts “An Outreach 4 Youth.” Life Song Arts is a national program that provides mentorship and training workshops in hip-hop/lyrical dance, graffiti art, martial art and creative writing. The program strides to build on self-esteem, living a healthy and positive life style, love, hope and the freedom of expression through the arts. Life Song Arts believes in giving the youth a voice and an outlet for expression so that self-love will rise and fear will decrease, wounds will heal, strength can be built and warriors created.
LIVING IN FREEDOM EVERYDAY!
