Hi Spence,
Just a short note to tell you that the red bands have safely arrived here in Germany! I gave the first one to my son, who urgently needs support. He is 13 and suffers from ADD. The past years had him face many good and bad changes in his life. His most severe problems have to do with showing feelings without going to extremes (typically male ;-)). And I mean REAL extremes... As a beginning, he promised to stop lying and stealing. He asked me to give him some of the bands so he can give them to his classmates who were bullying him for the best part of the first term.
I think there are many people here who need this kind of help and I will keep in touch to let you know who will accept a band.

What you are doing is God wonderful. When I first saw the movie "Pay it Forward" it also inspired me. Since that movie has been out, my life has changed completely. Not because directly from that movie, but in the last 4+ years I have quite drinking and drugging, and became a non-smoker two years ago, and recently divorced after 35+ years with the same woman. I have become active in AA and help whenever and wherever I can, and I only suggest to those that ask how to pay it back by telling them to pay it forward three times, once for them, once for the other person, and once for God. You are a true inspiration and I am glad that I came across your site, for I saw you as a freind to so many.

Your story was truly an inspiration to me, and as much as I realize that I live in Calgary Alberta Canada, I was wondering if I might be able to acquire the “Banned For Life” red bracelets.
I have been battling a gambling addiction for quite a few years now, and recently met a wonderful man who plans on marrying me in the near future. He doesn’t have a clue about my struggles over the past 10+ years. He, such as yourself, inspires me to be a better person. I’m happy to report that since meeting him, I have not been to a casino once! That doesn’t mean that my struggles are over or that I’ve beaten this. Every day there is a strong pull, and remaining strong and focused is a battle in itself.

I am requesting five wristbands. I have stopped drinking for 15 days now and believe your wristband will help reinforce my resolve against drinking.....something I have done almost daily for nearly 5 yrs. Right now I have made a promise to myself and my family that I wouldn't drink for the entire month of May. I'm half way there, but the temptation is there.
I know a good friend that also could use your wristband who is also a drinker and smoker. And she has a heart condition where she needs a pacemaker. I will pass those onto her.

My name is Caitlin, you sent me some wristbands not too long ago. I just want to give you an update about how much you helped me out. I gave all these wristbands out at our last family function, and they were a big hit. In fact, my mum, seeing how much I hated her smoking jumped on board to quit. Another family member of mine is going to quit also!
