About Me

After an illustrious career at Rolling Stone Magazine, where he famously penned the first national cover story on Eminem ever to appear in print, Anthony Bozza went on to write two New York Times Bestsellers back-to-back: Whatever You Say I Am: The Life and Times of Eminem (Crown/Random House) and Tommyland, the autobiography of Tommy Lee (Atria/Simon and Schuster). At Rolling Stone, Bozza's biting wit revitalized the Random Notes section during the two years (98-00) that he wrote it, and his cover stories ran the gamut from J.Lo to Trent Reznor. He was also an advocate of ushering more hip hop into the seasoned rock mag. Bozza penned in-depth stories on Wu Tang, Outkast, Method Man and Nelly (the first they'd seen of RS coverage), as well as bringing Jay-Z, DMX and Mary J. Blige into the fold. In 2007-08, his autobiography of Slash broke records, staying atop the New York Times Bestseller List for 10 weeks and literally overnight, redefining the art of rock and roll memoir. Stay tuned for a slew of new books in 2008 and 2009...for more information on Anthony Bozza or to read excerpts from his books and magazine work, visit: www.anthonybozza.net

Heroes:

Einstein and Ludwig Van. "Laying here, with the advertising sliding past my eyes, like cartoons from other peoples' lives, I start to wonder what it takes to be a man. I learned to drink and I learned to smoke and I learned to tell a dirty joke. If that's all there is then there's no point for me. Please can I ask just why we're alive? 'Cause all that you do seems such a waste of time. And if you hang around too long you'll be a man. Your car can go up to a hundred and ten. You've nowhere to go but you'll go there again. But nothin' ever makes no difference to a man." - Jarvis Cocker
