Jess is a singer-songwriter who has been firmly
establishing herself on the London music scene. Very much an individual, her style is a fusion of soul, pop, rock and the contemporary, soulful and sultry vibe to her tracks has drawn comparisons with Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks. She recently performed at the magnificent Bush Hall, supporting James Carrington in concert and
has headlined venues such as the Bedford,
Café de Paris, the Troubadour, Chinawhite, Cherry Jam,
the Cobden Club, Half Moon, Songbirds, the Lark in
the Park Festival, the Regal Room, and the
Acoustic Lounge.She played a City Showcase night
on June 6 2006 at the Bedford along with Newton
Faulkner and Peter Elkas. This year she was once again picked from 1000's of songwriters to join 30 other bands and artists to perform at a City Showcase event in Ganton Street.Jess has developed her
songwriting skills since 10 years old to produce the
beautifully crafted songs heard today. She recently organised and sung at
the “Orange Apeel†charity gig, a highly successful event
held at the Orange, a prestigious music venue for
songwriters in West Kensington. A fantastic musical
line-up of artists such as Newton Faulkner and Mia Silvas
helped raise large sums of money for the CHASE Ben
Hollioake Fund which supports the families of life-limited
children.Soon after coming to London having graduated from
Exeter University with a Law Degree, she was spotted by
EMI and was a featured artist on an album of classic
Irish Ballads in 2002. Following on from
this she went on to perform her own music, produce
CD’s and take the opportunities to write with some of
the most talented and successful songwriters around.With her new album, Jess is setting
out to achieve what she describes as an album full of
songs that mean something. She has a new EP out
now available to buy online at and at her gigs.
