My 'About Me' from 2007 has been shifted to my blogs as I figure if nothing has moved on in 12 months it's been a pretty poor year! If you're not changing a bit then you're not really alive!
My double transplant (kidney & pancreas) has changed life in some surprising ways. I have a lot more energy and drive to get things done these days. To that effect I have completed a new solo album which will be available to buy/download by Sept 2008
The album is titled 'don't shake my tree'. The phrase is shared by a number of old blues songs including 'alberta' on the album. It usually is preceded by 'if you don't want my peaches honey....'. That's a fairly clear message then but it applies in different ways to lots of relationships with people.
Most of my live work is still playing trad Irish music with my band 'hoolie'. The songs and tunes here are what happens when I'm left alone with my guitar or dobro though I keep edging this style into the regular sessions I play trad in!
I do enjoy hearing new musicians and even more so meeting and accompanying them. Myspace is a great vehicle for that and so are the acoustic sessions that I jointly run. If you fancy sharing some tunes/songs and live in London or are popping through drop me a line and I can fill you in on what's happening in the big city!!
I try my best to listen to any new music posted up by myspace friends but sometimes miss info on Friends Updates. If you have new things to hear do send me a comment or a message. I ALWAYS have time for new tunes/songs.
