It all started with a band called Ginger Pet, then due to lack of commitment, Tara Rocks, Rach Rohypnol & Rev (Towers Of London) formed their own band, The Tarzis. Then, Tara Rocks and Rach Rohypnol (original members also of Ginger Pet) left Ginger Pet to focus on The Tarzis after a rift between Tarzi & Lady Bird - about who was to be the lead singer, so Tara Rocks went on to form The Tarzis so she could be the lead singer with no politics and steer the band into future global success.
It was then sorted out between Tara Rocks and Lady Bird ......
and then The Tarzis reformed with the remaining Ginger Pet members, Lady Bird, Melanie Speaking and Lucie The Specialist, creating the ultimate line up of The Tarzis. At some gigs additional members such as Rock n Roadie & Mazza join in depending on their tour schedules. Ultimately, at any one time onstage there can be 8 Tarzis onstage which is great if you get to catch a show.
The Tarzis are currently at the studio and taking time out to write more hits such as Drink Camomile Tea & Smoke, Surfing* Our Way Across The USA and other catchy rock anthems. (* real song name revealed on UK release). WATCH OUT FOR NEW SONG Get Off Of The Scene featuring Rev (original ..1 and still loyal to his band The Towers Of London) doing a cracking guitar solo. Guest vocals include Jordan from Louie & Donny Tourette from Towers Of London.
The Tarzis have toured with the likes of The Towers Of London, The Imperial Vipers and The Zico Chain and even a little band from way out west in Chalfont called Bullet have been lucky enough to have shared the stage. Future projects are to appear with the likes Of Willy & The Commadore Of Nice, Robots In Disguise & to do a duet featuring The Mighty Boosh and other exciting projects with friends of ours and bands in the click.
