David Kox

Born in 1969. My family has a great history in Classical music. I have played Metal music since my 14th, in many different bands such as Korsakov, and since 2000 living in Amsterdam. I got 'infected' with other styles of music, like Jazz, 70's, Rock/Alternative, Dance, Breakbeat, Funk etc. All of this because of the rich musical atmosphere in Amsterdam. Through the years i have played on places like Paradiso, Parade, Panama(Amsterdam), 013(Tilburg), Willem II(Den Bosch), Dynamo(Eindhoven), Huntenpop(Varsselder), and for some time for live Radio5(De andere Wereld).

In my dayly life, i am involved in several projects, like 2 MENTALL(together with DJ Megalito). Our music is a great fusion of Lounge, Breakbeat, Triphop, Jazz, Metal, Brasilian, etc. With the participation of great musicians like Stephan Schmidt(Zuco 103) and Jos de Haas(New Cool Collective), we created these special sounds.. I also did studio cd recordings for Roger Szpencer(Szpencer). The album 'Why Change Me' is finished.

My main instruments are guitars, bassguitars, keys and drumprogramming. Some of my other occupations are composing and recording music in all styles especially for commercials and tv, i work as a session musician for studioproductions and being a guitar and bassguitar-teacher.I run a small music production company named KOX MUSIC.

But i definitely can't stop producing NOIZE!!

That's why i am very happy to be the bassplayer of a kick ass rockband: PIMPERSTICKER(click the icon below) PIMPERSTICKER IS RECORDING A GREAT ALBUM. The album will be mixed by Guido Aalbers. Everything can be expected by the end of this year..
