In 2008
in February 2008 we will finally release our vinyl EP "live at carnickle hall" and celebrate our 11th-and-something anniversary. Exact date to come soon.
2007
was the year to find out how quickly time actually passes by. In fact, now the dancefloor had us back and we released our EP "und morgen träumen wir gemeinsam" at www.ideology.de as much as a remix cooperation with interloop available at www.ideology.de
We were still looking forward to our first vinyl release and finished the production in december.
2006
was the year we all realised that being mature and wise was rather being old and whimsical. The dancefloor had us back and we were all looking forward to a 10-years-of-monomatik-party and our first vinyl release.
In 2004
we found a new approach to sampling and went from the dancefloor to the bathtub a little. Being mature and wise was a good thing, we thought, and our EP "and we claim these words as our own" was released at www.ideology.de
The year 2003
was the year of the "still point in a turning word trilogy" - three new tracks being released every three months (roughly) were the optimisation of our sound. You can still listen to some of the material at www.monomatik.de
A selection of those tracks has also been released as "sefton park ep" and can be downloaded at www.ideology.de
In 2001
we decided that the time had come to release new and fully improved material along with remixes of previeous tracks in order to honour five years of fine entertainment: "previously unrelieved".
In 1999
we discovered the joy of text-marking CDs. But we were sure about minimal house being a little too minimal for us. So, we imported those clicks & cuts sounds into our general idea of electro pop and we released the first album "demo_01.lso".
In 1998
we decided that there was a sufficient lack of pop elements in our music and with a little café-del-mar-sound on the side we seemed to lose track for a while.
Summer of 96:
Germany was into drum&bass and we decided to join in. Our first show at a community centre was a huge success, though we had to cheat on the clergyman and we have been feeling bad about this ever since.
