Lotus Trojan is a Melbourne Australian based band composed of 2 members, Mark Goey Vocals, Mark Murphy Drums.The new album was produced and engineered by Mark Goey in Melbourne and Mastered by Kathy Naunton at DB Mastering in Sydney.
Our approach to Music is not really based on getting fame or trying to live out some rock and roll life style or initiative.We just like music and try to aim for writing great music that is authentic regardless of style, there have been so many incredible bands that have come before us and really to be frank what we do is based on what they have done, so we don’t set out to try and do anything really different, we just go with what feels right. I `m mean if it’s different all well and good, but we don’t start from that place.
The new Album was recorded at various places around Melbourne; most of the vocals/guitars/bass were done at Mark Goey`s house which we named “LadyWood Studiosâ€, the drums were recorded at light and sound studios in Melbourne. Mark Goey is the main songwriter and producer of Lotus Trojans work and looks after this myspace site.
Nothing about making this album was easy or cheep, the biggest pay off for me and Mark Murphy particularly would be for you to listen to the album and to be able to get something out of the music, that would be some how closure to this journey that has been "Lotus Trojan Volume One".
