Life Like

A four piece band hailing from Adelaide, Life Like has steadily built a solid reputation based on artfully constructed songs packed with exciting dynamics and unabashed lyrics.
Joining forces in early 2000, vocalist Mark Meade and guitarist Alex Baker began what has become a strong working relationship based on solid song writing. After searching for the right blend of musicians to back up their sound, Matthew O’Reilly was inducted as official bassist. After several incarnations of what was to eventually become ‘Life Like’, Matthew Pengilly (nephew of Kirk Pengilly of INXS) was added to the mix as drummer and the missing pieces had finally been found. Rehearsing relentlessly in early 2008, the band went into the studio to begin recording what is to be their single greatest achievement to date.
With soaring choruses and emotion filled verses, the new Life Like album is set to take you on a journey through the joyous highs and desperate lows of life, both lyrically and musically. A dynamically driven sound packed with more than just catchy hooks and introspective lyrics, Life Like have poured their lives, passion, pain and triumphs into their songs.
Currently work is being completed on Life Like’s debut full length album, tentatively titled ‘Beautiful Clarity’, which is scheduled for independent release in the coming months. The album was recorded at Mixmasters studios, mixed by Darren Hincks and mastered by Neville Clark at Diskedits.[LOVEMYFLASH]
