Molly McQueen

So.. I don’t really know how to start these things! They’re so formal!.. So, I'm Molly McQueen. I was the lead singer and guitarist in The Faders. Cherisse, who was the drummer, and I are still best mates! We’ve been writing together as much as we can for my solo album but its hard to see her at the moment because she’s now MIKA’s drummer! Check out "Is it You", we wrote it together.

So... what have I been up to? Well...

...As we all know, you shouldn’t live to work, you should work to live!!! SO… I have been partying non-stop… I don’t generally go to London clubs, but I do go to many, many gigs! Also I am really into the rave scene (as you can see in some of my photos!). I love being in an atmosphere where people don’t judge you, and are there just to have a good time! That’s what inspired me to write “Psycho Gorgeous”. There is a heeeeeeavy electro house mix of it by the fantabulous Future Freakz!!! – check out their myspace - www.myspace.com/futurefreakz - the edit is on my page – and what makes it even better is they are great guys! So, that should be in the clubs in the next few weeks – I am counting down the days!

Also have been writing with quite a few people for my album - including Paul Barry (who has written SO many hit songs, like Hero for Enrique Iglesias + Believe for Cher he is brilliant! I've also been messing around and writing with Marco and Chris formerly from "Adam and the Ants". They've been loading me up with loads of sick documentaries - you have to see "Party Monster" shockumentary! So worth seeing...
I’ve been lucky enough that Mark Taylor - DAMN good producer + songwriter – he’s won a grammy – had 4 US no 1’s + much, much more – he recorded the original record of ‘Psycho Gorgeous’ + also ‘You Are Not The One’. He’s part of a production + songwriting collective called Metrophonic + I spend a lot of time down there writing + recording…..it is THE most chilled place – I love the vibe + the atmosphere – all creative people together from the writing through to the finished record.

Had the good fortune to bump into the beautiful Katie Melua at a gig randomly! She's one of THE most lovely down to earth girls I’ve met. It's rare to find people like her in the industry I can assure you! We have been writing together. I’ve been having a lot of fun working with the most awesome designer called Zeeny – she is brilliant – she’s a great photographer too so all the new shots are her work plus my logo + we’re working together creating some bits + bobs to sell but also some exclusive wallpapers + screensavers to download free on my new website which will be up soon!

All in all things are going really well – thanks too for all your support – I really appreciate it! Latttaaaaaaaa chickpeas... Brap brap! Xxx
