For any enviromentalists out there who still eat meat...
“More than 4,000 gallons (15,000 liters) of water are neededto produce a single day’s worth of food for the typical meat eater. In comparison, an ovo-lacto vegetarian requires only 1,200 gallons (4,500 l) of water, and a vegan needs a mere 300 gallons (1,135 l).â€Vegetarian Times Complete Cookbook
“Giant livestock farms, which can house hundreds of thousands of pigs, chickens, or cows, produce vast amounts of waste. In fact, in the U.S., these ‘factory farms’ generate more than 130 times the amount of waste that people do…[and have] polluted more than 27,000 miles (44,000 km) of rivers and contaminated groundwater in dozens of states.â€Natural Resources Defense Council
“At U.S. feedlots and factory farms, more than a trillion pounds of manure are deposited every year.On that scale and at such concentrations, a perfectly natural substance can become a toxic one.â€Eric Schlosser, author of Fast Food Nation
“While inefficiently producing unhealthy food, contributing to heart disease and cancer, factory farms leave a wake of toxic waste, disease, declining aquifers, global warming, obesity for the affluent and malnutrition for the excluded.â€Christopher Cook, Diet for a Dead Planet
“Animal factories are one more sign of the extent to which our technological capacities have advanced faster than our ethics.â€Peter Singer, author of Animal Liberation and The Way We Eat
For more info on the reason being veggie/vegan is the only option for anyone who truely cares about the environment go to: http://www.brook.com/veg/
Might i point out i would rather you turned vegan, but go veggie first just to let your body adjust! Because these figures are of course only the animals killed by the meat trade. It doesnt mention however that a huge amount of these animals are bi-products of the dairy industry, nor does it take into account the amount of animals killed by this industry each year as soon as their purpose is served! Nor does it take into account the amount of suffering these animals are put through before they are destroyed.

PEOPLE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!!!
I just checked out a fantastic site, (or not depending on how you wanna look at it), www.sharkonline.org
If its the last thing you do today please check it out, it will disgust you to the pit of your stomach and wake you up to some very real and disturbing situations. It has info on the film 'Flicka' and the horse cruelty involved in the making of the film.
If you go the the page for the film (My dead flicka) you will see an option to download a film (that includes 'wild horse' races) please check it out and then decide if you wanna see that film. It takes about 10 minutes or so to download and lasts a bit less than 11 mins. But it'll make you fume if you got a heart. And if you dont and if you support such shit, fuck off. Cheers for reading! x
This is a film i made myself... its done with a cheapy litle camera, so forgive the poor quality! ;-) I couldnt figure out the sound part!!! I wuold also suggest pressing play, then pausing it to give it time to upload... otherwise the playtime is just overtaking the upload all the time, and thats just very annoying!!! If you get what i mean... :-/

To begin, this is who I am! 100% vegan and damned proud of that... if you dont like it, you know what you can do with it! If you do like it, stick around and say hi!
Im easy going, laid back and full of energy, if thats a possible kinda combination! I love to live, and try not to worry too much about what tomorrow could bring. I have travelled around Australia, wo that opened my eyes a bit, taught me so much about myself, mainly that i have so much to learn about everything!
I do loads of dancing, Jive and streetjazz mainly, love animals, and play guitar and sing. I am currently trying my hand at writing and recording my own material. Would be cool if i could take that somewhere, but lets see...
Ive been vegan for around 13 years, and was very pleased when they finally put the ban out on fox hunting. The years of campaining pulled off.
I work for the RSPCA looking after rescued Donkeys and Horses, and everyday am faced with the sick nature of humans. 24 years old, and it is still possible to shock me with stories of human cruelty to animals, of all types, all over the world.
You can see in the above image, that classic donkey picture, often used as a source of amusement. I personally dont find it all that funny, and im sure the donkey in question didnt. In fact, im fairly sure he was shitting himself, as he was lifted 7/8 ft into the air, by ill fitting straps around his belly and throat... and possibly died from shock afterwards. He would certainly have been malnutritioned.
FACT: Most donkeys which are used for work purposes will have a very short life span, usually only around 3-6 years, whereas a well looked after donkey can live for maybe 50 + years! It's quite a difference... These donkeys are usually made to work for long hours, with very little food, water, or rest, and in the heat of the day, or the pissing rain. The donkey has almost dug its own grave. They are very resiliant animals, and love human company. You could load a donkey up with goods, and it wont complain... until its legs buckle with the weight. And you know what else? Its happening not only in countries with poor education, such as india and africa... but right on our doorstep, in countries such as spain, portugal and greece! Thing is, with the right education, these peoples lives could be made better, along with our donkey friends!!
This is Just the tip of the ice burg. Many animals suffer daily, and its down to those of us who do give a shit, and are willing to give the time to become a voice for the animals, to stop this inhumane suffering!
If you wish to know anything more, just drop me a message, im always willing to chat about Animals Liberation... ;-)

THERE IS AN OLD INDIAN LEGEND THAT SAYS;When the time comes for a man to die he must cross the rainbow bridge to heaven. As he crosses the bridge, he will meet every animal he has ever encountered;and they, each, will judge him according to how they were treated by him, thus determining whether he is worthy to cross the rainbow to heaven. Please treat all animals with the love and respect they deserve.
