Not to be confused with the actor Kevin Costner......Kevin Coston is a musician from Fairbanks, Alaska who just loves to groove.
Kevin's initial interest about the guitar began in Mannheim, Germany at age five. (Yep, Kev is an army brat.) At age 8, he took approximately six months of guitar lessons and by age 13, the lore of the guitar had completely captured his interest. Thus endeavoring years of self instruction.
In 1986, Kevin moved to Los Angeles, Ca. and received formal musical training at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. While there, Kevin studied with established pros in the music industry such as renowned jazz guitarist Norman Brown, and Paul Gilbert of the rock group Mr. Big. Upon graduating, Kevin played shows in Las Vegas, aboard cruise ships and toured overseas with an R&B/Disco band. He has played onstage with Peter Tork of the 60's group The Monkees, Michelle Shocked, and Tom Grant, featured keyboardist for Barry White. He also co-produced the album 'Manana' by Latin recording artist Tony Bazurto. Bob Keane, who produced Ritchie Valens (La Bamba) was co-producer.
