About Me

I don't know how to describe myself. People have described me as the "strong, silent type". I've also heard "quiet with strong convictions". Those may be accurate assesments. I'm definately unlike anyone you know. (I've been told that many times before.) People, like me, are few and far between. I often feel as if I'm in the wrong place and wrong time. I have my faults, but I think they are results of my virtues...

My Interests

Whiskey, Rum, or any kind of alcoholic drink - especially Mudslides, don't know why, I just like 'em. Strangely enough, I'm not too crazy about beer, but I don't think I would pass one up. Cigars, like Churchills, Cubans, Padillas - any kind will do, and pipe tobacco. I don't smoke cigarettes.Classic Films, Non-Fiction Books, Intelligent Television (is that an oxymoron?) and Music with substance. I am fascinated by history, especially 19th century America, World War I and II. I am drawn to the motion picture, but the films being made today are complete garbage, with a very few exceptions. The same could be said for today's music. I also do some creative writing, it's mainly for myself. I rarely share my work with anyone.

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people....

Music:

Everything from Frank Sinatra(adore him) to Jimi Hendrix to Slipknot. Sinatra, U2, and P.O.D. are my favorites. Rob Zombie/White Zombie, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, Led Zepplin, Foo Fighters, The White Stripes, The Strokes, The Beach Boys, Nat King Cole and Dean Martin find their way to my ears quite often. I like the original (before their line up changes) Alice In Chains, Black Sabbath, and Jane's Addiction. I like the old Rolling Stones, their current music is terrible. Most rap music sucks, except for the Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, and a few others (Native Tongues).

Movies:

I'm a huge film buff. I like the Classics, Silent Movies, Crime Drama, Hammer Horror, westerns (that includes spagetti westerns), jidaigeki movies, anime, cult films, and even silent movies, among others. When I'm in a lighter mood, I can get into action movies and comedies. Some of my all time favorites areTHE BOONDOCK SAINTS; THE GODFATHER I & II; APOCALYPSE NOW; MILLER'S CROSSING; ROAD TO PERDITION; THE WILD BUNCH; THE FRIGHTENERS; BLADE RUNNER; NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD; STAR WARS Series; and THE LORD OF THE RINGS Series; TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE;There are far too many to name.My favorite actors - James Cagney, Jim Caviezel, Daniel Day-Lewis, Mel Gibson, Guy Pearce, Gary Sinise, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and Vincent Price; My favorite directors - Martin Scorsese, Orson Welles, John Ford, Alfred Hitchcock, Christopher Nolan, Guillermo del Toro, Clint Eastwood and Stanley Kubrick;Ed Burns' and Vincent Gallos "Hat-trick" Films (I use the term "Hat-trick" to describe a person who is a writer/director/actor).
