TOWNIES SCREENPLAY REVIEWS:
I think you've suceeded in creating something that guys will
want to watch repeatedly like "Carlito's Way" and "Scarface."
- Review by: CaitlinMcCarthy
Townies will brutally saw the box office in half and become
a classic in the likes of its influences: the Godfather, Goodfellas, Scarface,
Carlito's Way, Good Will Hunting and Men in Tights.

This movie will blow Southie and Monument Ave away, and I loved
those!

If executed properly onto film, Townies could be the Irish answer
to Goodfellas -and that's a huge compliment from me, as Goodfellas was one of
the reasons I got into filmmaking!

This movie is going to be right up there with goodfellas and
scarface. People will have posters of Mickey on there wall! I loved the script
and can't wait to see it on the big screen

I do think if you could pass this script on to actors who have
clout like Sean Penn, Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi, or Gary Oldman, I could see
some great character actors going for this script, hitting the film festival
circuit, and the movie generating a lot of word of mouth. Sort of a long the
lines of Narc or Reservior Dogs.

All I can say is load up with the best actors you can. Because
this project will take the best Boston has.

This film is going to blow the critics and everyone who sees
it away.

This screenplay rates quite highly for the combined use of comedy
and drama in the gangster genre. I would really like to see this script come
to life on film.

The script was great I found my self at work wanting to go home
and keep reading it. I can already see it as a movie.

You get the true Charlestown feel from these characters--the
story combined with the intensity of the characters serves up a platter of greatness.

I read the script last week. Awesome stuff. I couldn't put it down. I love the
opening scene and really like Mickey's character.

I am hooked! The story grabs you by the scruff of your neck
and won't let go. I want to cover my eyes with my hands, but can't help but
peek through the cracks of my fingers - I don't want to miss a thing. The story
is intense, but filled with humor! Those wise guys are FUNNY and you know they
don?t mean to be. EVERYTHING in this script was feasible and believable, which
made it all the more unnerving and brutal. Brilliant. Absolutely fantastic.

Mike O'Dea has captured the true essence of being a Townie which
is being loyal to your friends and family. This movie is going to go a long
way.
