LockJaw is a Birmingham Alabama based production company specializing in music production, artisit development, and computer graphic art. In the music production area of the company, Q-tip specializing in trance/house, and PitbullTKO specializing in Ragga D&B. PitbullTKO has been in the music bussiness well over 12 yrs. Rap was his first love. Spending the earlier portion of my life as an youth in New Jersey reggae music also was a huge influence for him. Growing up in such a diverse culture was a great life lesson for him.I moved to Montgomery Alabama in the early 90's were PitbullTKO and three other fellow friends formed a group called the Ruff Nexx. We produced our on tracks using the SP12 sampler(Which was the hottest sampling machine on the market at this time)that was his first time to actually getting a chance to learn hip-hop production. We were very fortunate to have the local radio station show intrest and sign us on for a marketing mini tour that was going to take place in the southeast. The tour featured many big name hip-hop artisit at this time of year which included:Master Ace, Rumpletilskinz, Jamal, Intelligent Hoodlum,Pharcyde and a few others. Being around such a star studded tour gave us an great in-sight on the music buss. and how it is ran. Unfortunatly in the late 90's the group Ruff Nexx decided to split. But the love for continuing making music never left his body. I started spinning hip-hop and reggae in 98'. From their a good friend of mine "who was at the time was a big electronic music promoter in Texas and Alabama " Intoduced him to the world of Drum & Bass. Now in this time period(97-98) their wasnt a whole lot of hip-hop and Drum & Bass remixed songs. So with crates of rap and crates of Drum & Bass it was only a matter of time before i merged the two. And about the same time he found out that reggae was also just as complimentary to Drum & Bass. The rest is history. I got on with Solutions and Lo-Jack promotons, and have been doing different varities of shows all over the south-east.So if youd like to know anything about me just ask.
