WE HAVE 2 MYSPACE'S CHECK OUT myspace.com/thechacerocks
T he chance formed in late May and worked throughout 2006 at learning a few covers as well as writing their first song. As it happened there was a guitar riff that Ben had been working on for some time as he was a guitar player before he took his position behind the cans for the chance, he approached the band with it and with a bit of polishing, some drums, bass and some lyrics this eventually became our first song “Crashing to the Groundâ€. More songs seemed to start flowing and we pushed out four decent tunes in as many weeks. By around august the band had lined up their first gig. It was a small pub function room venue, roughly 120 people filled the place and the atmosphere was electric. We had had a taste of the gigging rush and wanted more so we managed three more gigs before the year was out.
As 2007 started the band were spending many hours writing new songs and practicing each week ready for gigs in the spring as the band know that gigs are few and far between at this time of the year. The targets were set and work was underway. By the end of February the band found themselves in a Better position to play longer gigs with Eight of their own songs including a SIX minute monster named “Give n’ Take†with Elliot’s Mammoth Solo outro and the Cheesy brit rock tune “Hey (say hey)†as well as a few strong covers so the band took a trip to see Jon Marsh @ Shed Studios (http://www.myspace.com/shedstudios) in Bodenham to get a demo CD recorded, Some demo's were sent out and the chance recieved some very positive feedback.
Now the band believe that the only thing they Need is gig experience so are working hard to get gigs arranged and promote themselves around Herefordshire and further a field. This is a Band described as "Realy going somewhere" and compared to bands such as 'The Coral' but as of may 2008 the band are now looking for a new vocalist and a fresh direction.. Stay Tuned!
