JIVE STICK

We will never look trendy enough to be BIG!

About Me

MySpace Backgrounds
Here are a few of our reviews.
"We haven't practiced for a while," said Jivestick's Dave. Well, you could have fooled me lads 'cause this was the best outing I've seen yet from the local up-and-coming grungers, with a nice bit of banter between the strictly-numerically-sequenced stoner numbers.....BBC radio review from the herdsman.
I only caught the last bit of Jivestick's stoner grungy set. Still, I have to say, I like the cut of their jib and they seem to be making improvements, BBC radio.
the fact is that when Jivestick do get going … they're ruddy brilliantly shatteringly LOUD. Think Sonic Youth 'Goo'-era angry cast-offs mixed with some filthy 'Regular John'-esque QOTSA...Words mike wynn (Paper scissors rock magazine.)
Jivestick are a good band with a good vibe, and if you love your grunge you will most certainly love them!...Paper scissors Rock magazine.
"Jivestick, are certainly doing the rounds at the moment. Not surprising as theyve got plenty of riffy Nirvana-esque numbers under their belt"....BBC'S ANDY OHARE ON JIVE STICK
I can deffinetely here some kyuss and fu manchu influences in there, nice.....shed studios
"Firstly I must say that you have some great sounds going for you....Sonic t Titan promotions"
"I like the song and the cat riding a rocket! its nice!.. Official kyuss myspace."
"Love the sound you have going on your profile.....Beyond A and R."
MYSPACE OF THE MONTH
"Hereford grunge monkeys Jivestick, fronted by effervescent local promoter Dave Pattison, have stuck tracks from their new EP up for our aural pleasure PSR! says give "King Pin" a spin... For fans of Nirvana, Mudhoney and all things filthy-mucky. (Words: Mike Wynn)

Jive Stick Next up were Hereford based four-piece Jive Stick. Their sound is an energetic mix of Grunge, Rock n Roll and a dash of Funk-Rock, making for a sharp, compelling noise that’s nicely left-of-centre – showing a wealth of ideas and a real skill for making them work within their songs. It’s good to see a band taking a few risks with their sound, and Jive Stick come off all the better for it, taking slight dated genres and combining for a reinvigorated whole that makes them standout as something special. All this from a band who are in their infancy (together for just six months), there’s definitely some real potential there and it should prove interesting to see how they continue to progress.
