Jon White

Amazing DJ, Incredibly Good looking - Modest!

About Me

Jon White is one of the rising stars of the dance music scene. A career which has already seen him travel the world numerous times over shows no signs of slowing, completely the opposite in fact.

A professional career which began in 1998 has seen him play alongside the biggest DJs in the business for brands such as Zouk, Defected, Pacha, Ministry Of Sound, Hed Kandi, Cream, The Gallery @ Turnmills, Slinky, Space Ibiza, Café Mambo, Azuli, Back2Basics and Moneypennys.

After an amazing 4 years as resident at UK Superclub the Opera House in Bournemouth, Jon packed his suitcase in Dec '03 on a year long world tour and hasn't looked back. After returning to Bali with good friend Demi where they teamed up at their old stomping ground Double Six, Jon moved on to Singapore where he became the founding resident of Singapore's hugley successful 'Attica'. After an amazing 2 years in Singapore it was time for a change and Jon left to become resident for Asian clubbing institution Zouk at their Superclub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. July '06 saw Jon on the move again, this time to Shanghai where he teamed back up with his friends at Attica to launch their newest venture - the 2000 capacity Attica Shanghai, set to become one of the World's talked abut venues.
2006 also saw Jon enter the studio with good friend Jason Herd (Herd & Fitz, Subliminal). The result was a deep electronic remix of the 1992 Future Sound Of London seminal classic, 'Papua New Guinea'. After a limited mailout at the end of November, the track was picked up by Pete Tong who played the track on his Essential Selection show on BBC Radio1. The following day the track was signed to Passion Records in the UK. Further support followed from the likes of Roger Sanchez, D Ramirez, Mark Knight, MYNC Project and Full Intention's Michael Gray and Jon Pearn. The track is currently available exclusively on iTunes and on vinyl format on Juno, where it is currently no.1 in the Progressive House Sales chart. The track will be available globally from 14th May on Jumpin' and Pumpin'.

2007 saw Jon head back into the studio with Jason to work on a follow up to their massive FSOL release. In May he teamed up with the legendary Phil Van De Werken (Phuzz), none other other than Prince's producer, with their first collaborations due for release at the beginning of 2008. November 2007 sees the release of Jon's debut mix cd for the highly successful 'Thinking Out Loud Asia' series. For more information on the series check out www.myspace.com/thinkingoutloudasiaWith more tours across the world planned and exciting studio projects in the pipeline, 2008 looks set to be another ground breaking year.
