Focusing attention on Indonesia is something i have done for over 10 years now. Stretching back to 1997 myself and Graham Harding held residencies at two of Bali's sort after clubbing nights @ Double Six and The Villas if you were an after hour regular. For five years this remained my home and as the music changed so I did, and it was a pleasure to see more and more local dj's really making a name for themselves and putting Bali and more importantly Indonesia as a whole on the global dancefloor map. Over the years residencies that I have also been part of include The Music Room (MUSRO) Jakarta, where I had the honour of warming up for the likes of DAVE SEAMAN, DEEP DISH to name but a few. 2007 a complete 10 years on from when I first started in Indo, was infact one of the most prosperous. I was the first international dj to appear on the island of Timor, djing in Kupang, and also setting the trends on the island of Sulawesi where I dj'd at a great club with a great atmosphere called Retro. Also I was priveliged to line up along side a whole host of dj's in August when the biggest club night in Australia came to the shores of Bali, bringing with them TV ROCK and of course MARK JAMES who runs the FAMOUS night down under. A regular at 66 once again under the famous ''WORLD SOUND'' thursdays also took place this year, and 66 is still as strong as ever. I will be djing there on the new year of 07/08 and hopefully for many days to come.........Hope to see you all there.....
