Musical diversity is the key with Andy Baxter. Resident at Pacha, Ibiza since 2002. Baxter’s style bridge House, Minimal Techno, Leftfield beats, Hip Hop. Born in Birmingham, England. Baxter bought his first record at nine. He began djing at 14 and at the age of 22 became a regular on the Birmingham club-scene, including a residency at Godskitchen and Miss Moneypennys. He also broadcast his own weekly radio show on BPM radio, reaching over 100,000 listeners................................................... ............................................................ ........ 2002, Baxter came to Ibiza and began working at Pacha Ibiza as a yearly resident. He also was one of the creators of Pacha’s weekly Hip Hop parties (Fiasco). Also a regular DJ at high profile villa parties, Puff Daddys yacht, Sasha’s birthday and Def Jam villa parties. In the winter months touring with Pacha through the UK, Egypt, across Europe, USA and Canada...................................................... ............................................................ ......2004, Mixing the Renaissance Pacha CD compilation (along with Neneh Cherry) and CD2 of Pure Pacha cd with Pete Tong. He was also nominated as Best Ibiza DJ at the 2004 Ibiza awards and was voted in DJ mag as one of the Top 10 Ibiza Residents................................................... ............................................................ ......2005, Baxter started “Techi Frutti” in Pacha’s Global Room, playing underground electro sound. Danny Tenaglia, asked him to open the club up for him at his “Two Be Yourself” parties. He also played the closing for We Love at Space and a Manumission Carry On. Baxter also was listed as one of the top ten Ibiza residents by DJ mag, and once again nominated by the DJ awards for best Ibiza DJ. Furthermore, Baxter Remixed, “Ole!” for Wally Lopez on his debut artist album this summer...................................................... ............................................................ ..... 2006, has been successful in production and Djing. Also, creating a new project with Tomas Hedberg called Crazy Eyze www.myspace.com/crazyeyze Next, debuting on Radio 1 for Pete Tongs Essential Selection at Café Mambo. Supporting Saw recordings, Def Mix at Pacha and Whats Up at Space....................................................... ............................................................ .......2007, has seen a successful start to the year with a more solo carrier, moving back to his hometown of Birmingham and becoming a resident jock at Bushwackers, spinning for the amazing If party’s. Amongst other projects in Brum Baxter will be creating his own branded night called Strut in the lead up to the Summer.
