NORTH COAST MUSIC ENTHUSIAST NOODLES has been behind the decks for 8 years, although he has been collecting records for almost twice as long. His career started in radio production & presenting, which spawned an obsession with knobs & faders and introduced him to the sounds of jazz, dub, funk & fusion.Moving to the north coast in 93 , and forming local production company - Tribe 187, he was reponsible for organzing some of the first hip hop based gigs in the area, including the infamous fresh silver beats nights @ the Gollan Hotel, as well as getting the opportunity to hone is skills & build a solid reputation as a dj that could not just make your bum wiggle, but keep your head interested as well.The Tribe along with Noodles became and are still havily involved in touring & promotion on the north coast, from organizng production at events like the Global Carnival in Bellingen to bringing artists like dj Craze, Cash Money, dj Food, Tipper & dj Godfather to the area.He has gone on to become a regular fixture on the north coasts & Brisbane lineups, holding down residencies at the Carpark, Verve, La La Land & C-moog in Byron, & Rics (the infamous 8 hour set), Mantra, the Empire & Family in Brisbane, and while prefering smaller clubs is also just as comfortable on festival line ups, playing every Good Vibrations & Summerfieldayze festival up north as well as events like Livid, Splendour in the Grass, Two Tribes and Earthcore. Before relocating to Sydney he also made regualr appearances at Funktrust, Boogie Down, Sounds on Sunday & the Chinese Laundry, as well as Honkytonks, Revolver, Seven & Croft in Melbourne.His influence on the north coast music scene has not been limited to just performance & promotion, working behind the counter at Music Bizarre in Lismore before moving to the coast in 2000 to run Byron's first dedicated vinyl outlet, where he has spent the last five years supplying north coast dj's with the goods. Also heavily involved in radio he continued to present music based programs, the last 2 years working with Dave Atkins (Resin Dogs) on a weekly show for Bay fm as well as lecturing & teaching dj skills at the Byron YAC & the north coast united dj mixing school.Recently relocated to Sydney he has taken up residencies at Bump, the Chinese Laudry, Loft Bar & sounds events, as well touring with the Invada posse & the Resin Dogs.Supports
