AFTER A SHORT BREAK SINCE OUR LAST PARTY IN AUGUST 2007, ELECTRIC PLAYGROUND WILL BE RETURNING IN 2008 FOR SOME MORE UNDERGROUND EVENTS FOR OUR FRIENDS TO RAVE AT.MORE DETAILS TO COME VERY SOON. KEEP THE FAITH!
Electric Playground was born in the springtime of 2005. After a harsh few years had lapsed for dance music and its big hitters in the UK, this inspired John Barber to set up his own monthly project to focused on what really matters in a club,- the best music, great people and fun times. Essentially it's purpose is to allow John to DJ regularly at the night and invite some of the worlds best DJ's to join him. It's a set up where he can experiment with news things and put on a party where people come for the music.
After starting out with a short spell in Southampton, John decided to move the party to a slightly more open minded town, where you can find the night on the 1st Saturday of every month throughout the year.
It's home is arguably the best new club in the South of England; Dusk Till Dawn in Bournemouth. It's dark basement, equipped with a world famous Funktion One sound system and minimal lighting make it the perfect setting for a real club night. This is complemented with the cooler, much more chilled upstairs bar with seating areas and space to relax. It's a small club, only 400 capacity over the two rooms which makes it perfect for the more underground clubber. The vibe is intimate and close with an electric atmosphere!
The profile of Electric Playground is fastly building, with DJ's such as Kenny Hawkes, The Electric Press, Phil Weeks, Luke Solomon, Justin Harris, Nathan Coles, Brett Johnson, Justin Long and Dom Chung as well as resident John Barber all gracing the decks.
Expect some more excellent guests to be coming to the club this year.
