Mixing since he was 13, Ben moved to Bournemouth 6 years ago to bust out some tunes... Since then he’s been regularly involved in numerous sessions, playin' all kinds of beats. Starting his 1st "real" residency at The Great Escape back in 2002, playing at nights such as "Pulse" and "Bounce". Looking for a change from funky house & always feelin' it could be dirtier down here, Ben & 3 friends spotted a gap in the Bournemouth music scene and began "Break Da House". With regular sets from scene pioneers such as "MEAT KATIE", "FREESTYLERS", "DUB PISTOLS" plus many others, Break Da House has gone from strength to strength and was recently voted as the best breaks night on the south coast in DJ magazine!! Outside of Break Da House Ben’s had residencies at "TRIBAL SESSIONS" - “GUIDANCE†– “FISHSEEKSBICYCLE†- “360†– “PERV CIRCUS†& “FULL TILT BOOGIE†playing with the likes of the "PLUMPS", "KRAFTY-KUTS", "MYLO", "DANNY HOWELLS" and loads more.
Since getting on the "FISHSEEKSBICYCLE" bus, he’s played a fair few free parties and Opera House gigs, as well as following them around for the last couple of festival seasons. Sometime in 2005 Ben and Greg Hepwoth started the legendary beach party sessions “PEDIGREE FUNKâ€. With the help of numerous people (too many to mention) they began smashin' out the filth, the funk and all the sundrenched early mornin' grooves you can gobble on. Pedigree Funk now has a regular fixture in B'mouths "Dusk Till Dawn" most Fridays and Saturdays, and are soon to be the new "OPERA HOUSE" residents too. With plenty of out-door frantics in summer 06 like "SECRET GARDEN PARTY" (where they played a 7 hour sunday monster), "BLOOM" and others under their belts, I’m sure summer 07 is gonna be BIG !!!
