About Me

The gospel music industry is flooded with talented, anointed men and women. In this growing group of musicians and singers, occasionally, a particular artist has a ministry that catches the ear and the spirit thereby standing above the rest. Robert E. Person is certainly one to be added to this category. Hailing from the Nations Capital, Robert has been singing for most of his life. In addition to attending the prestigious Morehouse College and The University of the District of Columbia for music, he has been able to hone his craft while singing with gospel musics best including Karen Clark Sheard, Daryl Coley, Sandi Patty, Richard Smallwood, and R&Bs Alyson Williams. His musical style, although influenced by smooth jazz, pop, R&B, and urban music, contains strong strains of traditional and contemporary gospel music with an unyielding gospel message. In December 2004, Robert released a stunning debut CD entitled The Call. The Call not only showcases his impressive musical talents, but gives him an opportunity to do whats really dear to him minister the word of God through song. In September 2007, Robert released his sophomore project entitled, "Next Level." As with his previous effort, this project showcases his captivating and mesmerizing tenor which seems to wrap itself easily around traditional gospel, contemporary gospel, urban inspirational and even straight-ahead jazz.
