About Me

I'm a singer/actor who moved to SF to sing. I currently sing tenor with a group called Chanticleer .Well. I've been in Chanticleer for more than a year now. It's been all the things I'd want it to be including ridiculously busy. It's wonderful. We have a new album out, and another one to be released for the Christmas season; we just went to Europe in July for a few weeks, and I get to sing all the time. That's my job. And, really, I'm ok with it.Please buy the new Chanticleer CD:

My Interests

I have a single-track mind. Music is pretty much my only interest. Sad, but true. Visit my friend Sarah 's space. She is unquestionably my favorite living female vocalist. Maybe if you bug her enough, she'll release her cd. =) Also, visit my photographer friend Greg 's website...amazing work.

I'd like to meet:

Sammy Davis, Jr., Joe Williams...Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel...

Music:

On the player right now is a song from the latest CD I've purchased. Check out my other "space" if you'd like to hear a couple of tunes I recorded. Alright, this is really difficult. I wanted to list a bunch of lesser-known artists, but it would be a disservice to the old stand-bys. Random Record Review 2

This is probably the least subjective music review you'll ever read. The fact is, Joe Henry could probably put his name on a Britney Spears record and I'd like it. Anyway, I just listened to the new J...

A concert review...

So, I went to see Bruce Hornsby tonight at the Palace of Fine Arts in SF.  Bruce is typically known as a pop/rock kind of guy, but I've always been impressed by his piano chops.  In fact, I'...

Random Record Review 1

I have to admit, I've never really paid much attention to Suzanne Vega.  However, I read some good things about her latest record and thought I'd give it a shot.  I'm really enjoying it.&nbs...

ShowBusiness...

So, recently, I've been thinking fondly on my theater days.  There's a lot about the theater that I really miss.  I miss the acting and the characters; I miss other actors...as crazy as they...

Studio wrap-up...

It appears I didn't do as well as I wanted to with the studio updates.  When I posted the Day 2 update, I had no idea what we were still in for.  Very long days and some intense focusing.&nb...

Screamer, Day 2...

Yup.  Another screamer.  Which is fun, but tiring.  Actually, only about half the day was a screamer, but it was an extra long day.  Ten and a half hours at the studio is a long ti...

Back in the Studio, Day 1...

The first day was a screamer.  Because, when you're singing with a big band, sometimes it's necessary, and sometimes you can't help it.  We laid down a couple of tracks with big band today a...
