Dolphin~Rider

I am a grad student studying dolphin communication at Uconn and Mystic Aquarium. My interest in dolphins began when I was 10 years old when I saw my first dolphin at the Minnesota Zoo. It was then that I decided that I wanted to study dolphins. I said STUDY and NOT to "train or play with them" at SeaWorld (not that I have a problem with that at all, I just want to study them!!!) (And, I LOVE SeaWorld!). At first, I was interested with their intelligence but then it switched over to acoustic communication when I started to have troubles with my vision. Acoustic communication involves a lot of hearing so it would take a lot of stress of my eyes. I have volunteered and interned at The Dolphin Communication Project at Mystic Aquarium Institute for Exploration and The Marine Mammal Cognition and Behavioral Labratory at USM. Currently working towards a Master's degree in Animal Science with emphasis on dolphin acoustic communication. I am also a certified "legally blind" scuba diver!!! I tend to be a caring, understanding and an honest person. I love to hang out and have a good time with my friends and family. I have a wonderful guidedog and 2 cats, one of which has a bipolar problem; but I love her anyway!
