About Me

ANGELS WATCH OVER ME

MOM

May 12, 1929 - March 14, 2007

She watched me take my first breath. I watched her take her last.

I will never be the same.

MY LITTLE BUDDY

June 1, 1997 - October 17, 2007

How am I going to live without you?

So, about me...

This page started out as Pepper's MySpace page, but I quickly took it over. Pepper is my dog, of course. He's the "poppy's boy" in the URL although poppy doesn't exist in our lives anymore. Pepper is a wonderful dog and I thought I almost lost him last week. I was an emotional wreck. He's my best little buddy. We've been together for 10 years now.

The paragraph above was written months ago. Now he really is gone. 2007 has been a difficult year.

My Interests

THIS PROFILE DESIGN IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION WHILE I LEARN THESE BLOODY MYSPACE CODES!

I'd like to meet:

VIGGO MORTENSEN, writer & photographer
JANE GOODALL
RICHARD SOUTHER

Music:

My search for new and exciting music never ends. Thankfully, there are so many talented people out there and technology has made it easy to find them. David Habbin, Natalie, Wattre, Danny Nova, The Doors, Tony MacAlpine, Johnny 2 Bad, any of the Marleys (Bob, Ziggy, Stephen), Jason Silver, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Rusted Root, Sonia Dada, Keb' Mo', Dead Can Dance, Kitaro, Richard Souther, Hildegarde Von Bingen's work, Paul Winter Consort, Carl Orff, October Project, Tim Janis, Missing Persons, Melissa Etheridge, 4 Non-Blondes, UB40, Quito Rymer, Burn Rome Burn (love that violin), Garmarna (there's that violin again), KISS, 70's & 80's music, reggae. I enjoy a lot of St. Louis musicians such as My 2 Planets, Al Caldwell, Maxtone 4, Javier Mendoza, Erika Johnson plus many, many more. I love to be introduced to new music. Pepper, my sidekick, likes Daron Norwood's "Bad Dog, No Biscuit!" No, I'm sorry I'm just not into country music. Years ago a friend heard that song and thought of my dog immediately. However, Pepper's a good dog, and he gets his biscuit! He's quite a character and makes an impression on everyone.

Movies:

Glory, (Hi Jihmi Kennedy!), HOOCH & DADDY-O (filmed right here in St. Louis - Jim O., you Rock! - Can't wait for Bloodfest Club!!), Napoleon Dynamite, Star Wars (I can't believe it was 30 years ago when I saw the first one!), Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael, Hidalgo (my dog is so much like Hildalgo I call him Hidoggo), action & sci-fi movies.

Television:

I LOVE MONK!!!, Law & Order:CI, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, CSI, Cold Case, Futurama

Books:

Marley & Me; Good Morning, Merry Sunshine; anything by Ann Rule, Jonathan Kellerman, or Patricia Cornwell

Heroes:

My daughter Ashley is without a doubt my hero! She's everything I wish I could be.

Mom's Death, Dying & Danny's Song

June 10, 2007   It's 8:00 a.m. and I hear church bells.  It's the first time I've heard them since Mom's funeral and how empty they sound.  I can't believe it's been almost 3 months no...

KOI STORY

Killer Koi First, I moved into the house.  There they were. Seventeen innocent-looking little fish.  The pumps were working; water was spraying up into the air and I could actually count th...

FOR MY FRIEND WITH CANCER...
