No time for love, Dr. Jones!

About Me

I'm not your average guy. There isn't much that I can say will surprise me, so if you can surprise me, all the better. Notice I said "surprise" and not "frighten." Important difference.I have very little impulse control. I am a Pagan, a Witch, and I can read the Tarot. I am still a novice compared to others, but I can hold my own.In general, I am a pretty mellow person. Not much will bother me. I am considered pretty easy going, and I am not one to freak out and be a spaz. There are a few things that do bother me, but they are generally out of my scope of practice, so there isn't much I can do about them anyway.....although I have been known to be "subversive" at times!Okay, so I don't always follow all the rules....I have no tattoos. I have nothing pierced. In that regard, you can judge for your self whether or not I am more or less "alternative."

The purpose of your life: saying truths that other people dare not say

Famous purples include: Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Susan B. Anthony

Careers for you to try: Political Activist, Inventor, Life Coach What Color Is Your Aura?

You are the Hanged Man

Self-sacrifice, Sacrifice, Devotion, Bound.

With the Hanged man there is often a sense of fatalism, waiting for something to happen. Or a fear of loss from a situation, rather than gain.

The Hanged Man is perhaps the most fascinating card in the deck. It reflects the story of Odin who offered himself as a sacrifice in order to gain knowledge. Hanging from the world tree, wounded by a spear, given no bread or mead, he hung for nine days. On the last day, he saw on the ground runes that had fallen from the tree, understood their meaning, and, coming down, scooped them up for his own. All knowledge is to be found in these runes.

The Hanged Man, in similar fashion, is a card about suspension, not life or death. It signifies selflessness, sacrifice and prophecy. You make yourself vulnerable and in doing so, gain illumination. You see the world differently, with almost mystical insights.

Music:

Lots of different stuff from different genres, ranging from Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, to Jack White. To name a few in the middle: Rush, Dave Carter& Tracy Grammar, Soul Coughing, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Yes,.... actually there is a lot of really tough metal I really like. Job for a Cowboy, Lamb of God, Mastadon, stuff like that. It helps me relax after a long aggravating day.

Movies:

Indies, festival favourites, non-spoof comedy, non-romantic comedy (just give something fucking funny without making a predictably flat love story out of it, okay?) Kurt Kuenne films tend to be the best, he's a true craft master whose time has come.

Television:

.....is poison.

Books:

Don Quixote, Choke, Wicked, A Confederacy of Dunces, Motherless Brooklyn, Crime and Punishment, Sabbath's Theater, Anthem, and of course, Atlas Shrugged. I like just about anything non-genre.

Heroes:

My sister, both brothers, my nieces and nephew, Mel Brooks, George Carlin, Billy Connoly, Gerald Gardner, William Yeats, Henry Thoreau, the inventor of non-stick cookware, and that guy on Cape Cod driving around with a bumper sticker that said "I don't give a fuck what you think!"
