Q: Where are you from?
A: I grew up in Manchester
Q: What's your music background?
A: I started playing piano when i was 4, and picked up my first guitar at the age of 10. I started writing songs when i was about 16 and formed my first band when i went to University in Edinburgh. We actually got pretty good and ended up playing some really cool gigs.
Q: Like what?
A: Well, we played to about 1000 people at the outdoor stage at Princes Street Gardens during the Edinburgh festival which went out live on cable TV. The year before i played on BBC Radio Scotland during a ''Best Of Edinburgh Festival'' broadcast.
Q: What did you do at university?
A: I studied medicine at uni, and I've worked as a junior doctor for the past few years but have finally quit my job and succumbed to the music!
Q: How are you finding it?
A: Fantastic- music runs my whole life and it's great to finally have the time to focus on it properly.
Q: Even been on tour?
A: I went to Chamonix in France last winter with my old band ''The Blind Poets'' where we played 5 nights a week for about four months, and we got to ski and party all winter- probably the best few months of my life!
Q: No longer playing with a band?
A: No, I've played in bands for a while now, which has been great but now feel I'd like to pursue a solo career.
Q: So what are you up to at the moment?
A: I've finally finished my solo EP Best Before Tomorrow which is doing really well. It's selling well at gigs and has been put on the Slug n Lettuce national playlist so it's being played across the UK in about 50 different cities.
Q: Any plans to go into the studio and record some more stuff?
A: I'm currently writing and recording songs for the album which I'm hoping to put out early 2007. As for the studio, the EP was recorded at home, so i'll probably be recording the album there too.
