KungFu is a chinese term that can be translated into "achievement through great effort"
MOTIVATION is the basic driving force, and without it, kung fu can never be reached. It means both interest and the will to do something; a person who is forced to do something is not truly motivated. A motivated person, on the other hand, has interest in learning: they have a goal.
The motivation kung fu comes from an interest and an inner desire to learn and develop, in which the goal is not an external gain, but an internal one, with the only reward being knowledge, skill, strength and wisdom. This motivation can be inspired, but not controlled, by other people.
SELF-DISCIPLINE refers to the effort and patience required to actually get something done, and to get past obstacles that might appear on the way towards one's goal. Discipline is required to put motivation into action.
TIME is essential for finding one's motivation and self-discipline. Many ancient Chinese philosophers and martial artists consider time the most valuable commodity in a persons' life, as time cannot be replaced. By finding interest in and putting effort and time into every action, one will make the best use of time, and live a happy and productive life.
For 34 years i’ve been a giant blender, turning my whole universe upside down. Every single morning i would sculpture my being back together from scratch, becoming the new person that's putting coffee on. Suddenly i stand here, blinking in the sunlight, asking myself everything at once, having a bunch of songs banging intensly at the back of my head, begging to set them free. They are my life, they talk about love and fear, truth and lies. They are my strength and my weakness. They are MyKungFu.
When i'm allowing the music to come out unfiltered, then you hear a genuine melancholic sound emerge. Don't ask me, where that's coming from, but that's about it. Heartbreaking moods and melodies in a melancholic dress. But listen for yourself. "PLEASE, PLEASE ME" is the newest composition. I've just finished this first demo version. It was mixed and mastered by Lukas Speissegger at FOODCORNER STUDIOS. All instruments were performed by myself (but drums were played by Peter Haas).
"EVERYTHING IS GOOD" was the first song, i ever wrote. This is a duet with my dear friend DJReedo on drums and bass guitar. It was originally released on the Album "Everything is good" by HNO.
"PANIC" is the newest co-production with Stef Nievergelt aka DJReedo. We wrote and recorded the song in one day. This is just a demo version. We are now working and writing in the studio and soon there will be a few releases, but probably only on itunes, unless we find a trustable business partner
"HURRICANE" is an old song that has been modified. The lap steel solo was added and then given in the hands of Lukas@FOODCORNER. The female voice on the tracks is by Gabriela Krapf from Zurich. Check out her band "LOBITH"!!
The current material (like PLEASE PLEASE ME) is born on an acoustic guitar, then taken over by a two man band, using a live sampling device for guitar, a bass guitar, drums, a roland juno60-keyboard. We're going on tour in Switzerland in January and March.
