Moving Forward

About Me

I am just trying to get through this life and do many cool ,interesting, wild, simple, crazy, painful, joyful things so I have many stories and no regrets when I am 80 and sitting on the porch in the sun. I am at an amazing stage in my life now. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that turning 30 sucks. It can and should be an amazing time in your life. I am now in my thirties and finally finding a place where each day I wake up to a more full, well-rounded version of me. I am now ready to go onto a new chapter in my life and am very excited to be standing on this threshold. I am not sure what will happen but the walk here has sure been cool. I have done many interesting things in my life and met many interesting people. While others may have thought this path to be crazy and out of order and nonsense, it all added up to me. I try to live my life the way I believe we should. This is the place to try things out, to make mistakes to grow, to learn, to move and go a little crazy.I just realized this morning as I was sitting in the winter sun, that this is my life and I accept it and all that it was and is and will be. My new path incorporates the main concept of being “AWAKE” while this seems like a simple word it is a key to many secrets to the right path on the real walk. I am shedding many things, which have caused me pain and anxiety and opening up to new things that bring me life.Travel is my greatest passion and one of my greatest secret weapons for bringing my true self out. I have gone away to places thousands of miles from my home, alone, in order to reclaim myself and shock my system in a place that I don’t know. Through the process of getting to know a new place I become more real.I love photography and have been a fashion/commercial photographer for almost 20 years. I am also feeling inspired to get back into my true love of street/photojournalistic photography. I am also very interested in getting into writing and getting out some of this crazy elaborate stories that pop in my head. Basically I believe strongly in the power of re-inventing oneself and never having to sit in a box of our creation or others. In this power of re-invention I have also found a key to staying young and free in perpetual forward movement.Peace
