Any good book is my favorite while I'm reading it, and I'm always reading something, but the authors who stand the test of time and repeated readings for me include Orwell, Kafka, Camus, Lovecraft, Conrad, and Vonnegut. And I finally discovered Rowling is quite nifty. I also love Peter Bagge, Daniel Clowes, Lynda Barry, Charles Burns, Harvey Pekar and R. Crumb.
