Beat The Radar

keeping the Boss happy since 2007

About Me

BTR began following a chance meeting in the sandwich section of Marks & Sparks. A short time later, they recorded a new demo @ Blueprint Studios, supported Midnight Juggernauts / Hatcham Social / Das Wanderlust/ The Chapman Family / Leon & joined forces with Lazy Genius Management.
The band’s distinctive music is centred on a unique combination of trans-Atlantic 80s indie guitar, rhythmical aggression and lyrical charm; inspired by personal tales of hometown apathy and drunken arguments.
"Crammed with big guitar gestures…brilliant instrumentation...a band who are definitely going to develop into something far bigger" MANCHESTER MUSIC
"This is a band creating innovative and stylish music...catchy vocal melodies with precise backing vocals on top of angst guitar and clever drums create a package for success" SANDMAN MAGAZINE
"Combining grungy dynamism with Sonic Youth esque guitar and poppy melodies to surprising good effect… Beat The Radar have the potential to go far." GUESTLIST MUSIC
