I also get a lot of inspiration from the natural world. And pretty much any song about doing the Smurf.
Sounds Like: I've heard comparisons to Nightmares On Wax, DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, Edan, Mr. Scruff, Kid Koala, Herbaliser, Pete Rock, Cut Chemist, Mark Farina, Dust Brothers, DJ Logic, Ian Pooley, Loveage, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Zero 7, RJD2, DJ Yoda, Gorillaz, The Avalanches, Bonobo, Coaxial, CloudDead, Adam F, Fantastic Plastic Machine, Clutchy Hopkins, Serge Gainsbourg, Jazzanova, Thievery Corporation, Mumbles, Steinski, Coldcut, Aphex Twin, Sixtoo, Z-Trip, Blockhead, Prefuse 73, Portishead, Ratatat, Madlib, DJ Signify, Tycho, Moloko, Omid, and DJ Nobody. I think of my style more as a mellow, stoned-out version of the Bomb Squad or late 80's Dr. Dre, or maybe Prince Paul meets Pink Floyd. But whatever, I'm not an expert.
