All my life music has been my passion - I grew up singing and dancing for the cows and sheep on the farm where I lived. I haven't really grown out of that yet; when I'm not behind the decks you'll most likely find me strutting my stuff on a dancefloor somewhere. I didn't decide I wanted to be a DJ until I was at The Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert (sept 2003) and saw my friend Jacqui charm the crowds with one of her amazing sets. Within 6 months of my return I'd got myself some decks which just sat in my bedroom until someone asked me to play at a party, in which case I would start preparing my set the week before - decide on the order of the tunes, work out which pitch I needed to play them at and write it all down (I thought you put the pitch control back to zero after each track.... wooops!!).In January 2005 I decided my new years resolution should be to learn how to mix properly so I could just rock up anywhere with my records and wing it. Word of mouth is what got me started - I managed to pick up a few gigs here and there through friends - Inigo in Clapham, The Well in Clerkenwell and Salvadore & Amanda's in Leicester Sq. But it wasn't until I was asked to play at a friends private birthday party in Heaven's VIP Lounge one saturday night the following september that I knew I had to step it up a gear. The gig went really well and when it was time for me to finish so the public could come in, the management opened up the Soundshaft dancefloor upstairs an hour early for me and let me keep going. They must have liked what they heard because a week later I got a call from them asking me to play the main floor on the night of my birthday - I almost collapsed with excitement, and by the time the actual day came I was practically bouncing off the walls in anticipation. The set went brilliantly (although it almost didn't go ahead because of the headphones drama that occurred before hand - but the less said about that the better!) Well, that was my big lucky break, and I've been playing the main floor there on a once or twice monthly basis ever since.During that time I also managed to get myself a residency at Rush (an intimate gay bar just off Old Compton St), and played random gigs all over london like bi-annual parties at Soho House, Factory in Vauxhall, Plan B in brixton,Freedom & Element in Soho and Niche Bar in Nottingham. My luck really took a turn for the better in February just gone - I started playing for Kinky Malinki at turnmills and sent in a demo to DTPM @ fabric for a Myspace competition they were doing - when they called to say they were going to gave me a chance to play room 3 you couldn't wipe the smile off my face for days! The gig went amazingly and I'm still there now playing once a month.I think in the short time I've been playing I've really learned so much - not just technically, but I've also learned how to read a crowd and make sure that I deliver a set that will make their night as enjoyable as possible. Being behind the decks gives me my own little platform where I get to participate in the dancing too - I love nothing more than to shake my ass and wave my hands about like a maniac while I'm playing - I feed on the energy from the crowd and that really inspires me as to which way the set will go. Apart from my eclectic choice of music (uplifting vocal house, often decorated with dirty basslines and sprinklings of electro) my outfits have become my trademark too, and seem to go down really well wherever I play; I like to create new and exciting looks for each gig - tayloring it to the venue; I love my corsets, tutu's and pearls and have so much fun coming up with new facial designs with diamontes, glitter and face paints. So that's me, I'm doing something I never thought I'd be doing, and loving every second of it!

My Interests

Having fun and making the most of life - I want to have experienced everything (almost) before I die. My first love is music - I believe there's a tune for every occasion. Music can evoke the most powerful reactions and create emotions so strong it's hard to believe - it can hit you hard like a punch in the face! I love clubbing and dancing or just relaxing and chilling. My second love is cooking, and I'm sorry if this sounds big headed but... I'm really f***ing good at it! Anyone who's ever eaten something I've cooked will tell you - it's tastes like heaven! Hanging out with friends also tops my list of things I love..... I have the BEST friends in the whole world - they're so much fun and make me laugh so much, they're also strong, reliable and very very loyal. Clothes and dressing up are right up there too - I love to create new and interesting looks; especially when I'm DJing - I like to taylor my look to suit the occasion, but no matter what, you can be sure my look will always include either corsets, tutu's, hats, pearls, glitter or sequins!

I'd like to meet:

My family and friends mean the world to me but there's always room for more: I want to meet lots of little disco bunnies, club freaks, Dj's, producers, promoters, agencies, music lovers, fashionistas, artists & friends.

Music:

I love it! Whether it's playing or dancing to in clubs, or singing along to at the top of my voice.... I can't get enough of it. I could start naming everyone who inspires me but it would take too long.

Movies:

The Life of Brian, The Holy Grail, Pulp Fiction, True Romance, Zoolander, Misery, American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Life is Beautiful.http://www.dirtydirtydancing.com

Television:

Watch it to chill or have it on as background noise while I'm doing other things. Only have the basic 5 chanels which is a good thing as am quite capable of getting glued to absolute rubbish very late at night and loosing lots of valuable sleeping time. Some of the shows I make more of an effort to catch are.... Star Stories(possibly the funniest thing on tv - ever!), Friends, Will & Grace, Ugly Betty, CSI, Criminal Minds, The Simpsons, Absolutely Fabulous, The Office, Extras, Desperate Housewives.
