About Me

Chuck Cheesman is a former Chicago songwriter and Old Town School of Folk Music instructor (Wiggleworms & guitar) who now lives in Flagstaff, Arizona. Among other things he writes about love, the West, and social justice. Chuck performs for children and adults, and he has released three CDs. His newest release is called Campfire . Coming Home is Chuck's first recording of entirely original songs. A Family Songbook is a collection of songs for children.Campfire is at Apple iTunes . Coming Home is also available on Apple iTunes .Chuck is also a backpacker, conservationist, and big fan of our national parks. He and his wife were married in Zion National Park and his daughter was born on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. Influences: I like the Beatles, Grateful Dead, and Dylan. But these days my influences are local and regional artists I've come to know and respect: Andrew Calhoun, Mark Dvorak, Sue Fink, 56 Hope Road, Matthew Henry Hall, Nolan McKelvey, The Porchlights, etc.., A lot of local music is just as great as the stuff coming from the corporate labels. Some is even better.Oh...and I don't know if I've actually influenced him, but my little brother (We call him Uncle Bob. He is eighteen!) has a pretty rockin' band! See below!
