Just made a little page to throw my songs up on & hopefully get a listen or two.
I HATE having to use a drum machine program, but I don't have the means to record drums....I believe in totally live, totally real, but I guess you have to make do with what you have, take what you can get (anyone know what song that's from????).
I'm currently looking for someone to jam with...The band I was in before didn't work out too well, they wanted to play mostly covers, I didn't...You know how that goes....I'm looking for talented, diverse, no ego having people to put together a JAMMIN ASS funky, heavy, bluesy type of original thing...Too much of the music coming out now is CRAP...Where did all the deep down soul & feeling of music go?!?!?!?!
I've been playing since I was 9 or 10 (I'm no Eddie Van Halen or anything)...I grew up on Maiden and all the good ol' thrash and death metal. I still love it but, there are just waaaaaaaaaay too many bands like that...After my metal only 10 year long phase I finally got an open mind and decided to branch out a tad.
I started checking out all kinds of other stuff & man did I miss a lot...I never even listened to Stevie Ray until after he was gone...Very Sad!!!
After listening to all of Stevie's songs over & over & over again I started checking all of his inspirations...Albert King & Hound Dog & all them dudes...very cool stuff.
I love Skynyrd, all the old 60's stuff Hendrix, Joplin all that...All the funk from P-funk to the Chili Peppers (Mr. Bungle is still the best!!!!!!).
All the real deal punk...DK, Ramones, The Clash, Minor Threat, Sex Pistols, Social D...(green day don't count!!)
I love it all except country, metallican't (SELLOUTS!!!!!!), & all the tough guy rap (I love the Beasties though...geniuses, hands down better than ANY rappers out now...and all their funk stuff is awesome too...let's see m&m or jay-z pick up some instruments & crank out some sweet tunes like the Beasties!!!)
Anyways....
I have my own equipment, transportation, place to jam..blah, blah, blah....
I just wanna jam & bring back some real music!!!!!!!!!
