London's Outreach team goes wherever people go to get across the message of fighting poverty, getting everyone to campaign across the globe. YOU can make a difference to those who need it most.
Use this space however you like; learn about the messages to campaign Outreach-style, join our team bringing the messages to events across London and the UK, or even just stay aware of the campaigns and work going on. Do as little or as much as you want, every action makes a differance. All we ask is that if you add us as a friend, spread the word, re-post our bulletins and start to make a change to those that need it most.
OUTREACH: CAMPAIGNING AGAINST POVERTY THROUGH MUSIC & EVENTS.
..
Outreach keeps you up to date with the latest campaigning opportunities and news which means you can do as much or as little as you like.
For those who want to get more involved in the issues around poverty and really get stuck into campaigning, we can train you to lobby your MP, write letters to newspapers, and deal with media enquiries as well as the all-important face-to-face campaigning.
BUT if you don't want to campaign for us or just dont have the time, DON'T GO AWAY! YOU can still help us! All we ask is that you add us as a MySpace mate - even a TOP FRIEND - so others can see and be inspired to support the fight against poverty and if you see our stall at a gig, festival or event this year then stop by and say Hi! Bring your mates, sign the petitons, wear our badges/bands and show your support for an end to poverty!
The white band has become the symbol of the global fight to end poverty.
In 2005 8 million people wore the white band.
On the three white band days people made human white bands, projected them onto buildings or wrapped everywhere from St Paul's Cathedral to the European Parliament.
Keep showing your support for an end to extreme poverty and wear your white band in 2007.
