Pretty Little Things, made up of Rhiannon Bouvier and Peps Knott, prove that to be angsty all you need is an acoustic guitar and killer harmonies.
Peps and Rhiannon have been writing together since 2005, and with their unique combo of Essex slang and Canadian twang they are determined to bring something new and interesting to the music world. With their huge catalogue of influences, it's not easy to stick them in a box and brand them, as you can hear hints of punk, rock, electronica and folk in each song. 'Every song we write is very different, it all depends on what has gone on the week before' say the two feisty ladies.
After spending six months in a small flat on the Brighton seafront overlooking the nudist beach, they weren't short of inspiration. They did a lot of their own recordings there and then, armed only with two guitars and a limited amount of equipment. The girls have gigged in and around London and Brighton for the last year and a half, playing at venues such as 'The Electroacoustic Club @ The Slaughtered Lamb' London and 'Ocean Rooms' Brighton. With a growing library of songs and more gigs to come, the future looks bright for Pretty Little Things.
