About Me

The two of us met at university back in 1995 but we only started making tunes together around 2000-2001. we lived in a flat close to the end of the Heathrow runways in Osterley. the triffids lived downstairs. we made noise, competing with the 747s, and every now and again we'd create something worth listening to twice, so we started recording on an analagoue 4-track. a couple of years passed and Brian moved to Southport and married to the lovely Fiona. i live in London still, in sunny Hackney with Rachel. brian and i try to get together 3 or 4 times a year to catch up and record tunes, looking for sounds that engage and inspire us. there might be a few random ideas floating around, but what we record is usually 90-95% improvised, and usually recorded in one-take - we never practice our tunes and we rarely spend much time worrying about the details, focusing instead on atmosphere and interesting sounds. The results are often patchy - the sound isn't always boss and the production isn't exactly professional - but we feel this music, and it feels good... sponteneity (and beer) keeps it ticking along. If you like what you hear please get in touch and let us know. we'll post more tunes - new and old, and if you want some to keep, e-mail us and we'll sort out a CD for you. happy happy listening. cheers, melquiades
