About Me

Hollis is me, Brian Croney. I started making and recording music about 7 years ago with my friend and current bandmate in two piece Melquiades. We both jammed and made music in our flat in West London. After I moved to Southport I started to work on my own material which started out quite acoustic and folky as this was the kind of music I was into at the time and as my main instrument of interest was the guitar this was the obvious choice. Once my musical pallette broadened I realised that it was ambient, electronica that I was most interested in so began to incorporate this into my music. I generally try to create a new collection of songs every six months or so on my digital four track at home and really have no interest in sending them out into the musical stratosphere. I make music to entertain and move myself and until now that was fine but with the introduction of MySpace and the constant badgering by Steven, my bandmate, I decided that I should share this music I create with others out there who would like to listen. So take a minute to take a listen and hopefully you can take something from these pieces of music I enjoy to make
