About Me
Phil and Machelle have made a living performing full time in the Macon Georgia area for 10 years (1993-2003). Phil and Machelle are session musicians in the Macon area at Wildbean Recording Studio, www.wildbeanrecording.com. After a decade of rocking the nightlife (at times a little too hard), they gave their lives to Jesus. Since then, all the songs they sing, play, and write are to glorify Jesus Christ. Phil started playing guitar in Edison New Jersey when he was 12. He joined his first band at 13, and hasn't stopped yet. After medically retiring from the USAF, he moved to Macon Georgia. He roaded with the Allman Brothers Band during the "Seven Turns" era (Warren Haines, Allan Woody, Johnny Neil). Like the Lord does, he put Phil in the path of Machelle, while performing on the road with "The Lifters", a 50's - 60's Rock and Roll band he and fellow Allman Brothers Band Roadie, Joe Dan Petty toured with. Machelle started young, as well. Her Dad, Bob Pilkinton was a well seasoned guitarist/steel guitarist/vocalist/songwriter. Machelle had the opertunity to perform with her Dad's band, opening for The Charlie Daniels Band at age 12. Machelle sang in a group called "Smilin Island" in the Fernandina Beach area of Florida. They played private and corprate parties, as well as local clubs. Phil played a gig in Fernandina Beach with "The Lifters". Machelle and Phil met, and have been together ever since. Performing, writing, recording, and just doing life together. Today we are still very active, musically. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter named Shelly Kimberly Palma, in 1993. In no time, it was evident that she had the "music bug". As Shelly grew, her voice began to take shape. She is also taking interest in playing guitar, and has begun to learn. Shelly does songwrite with her Mom and Dad. Phil claims, some of the best lines in songs they have writen came from Shelly. She gets how to write songs, at 12. What a blessing! Phil and Machelle serve in their praise band on Sunday Mornings in Warner Robins Ga, at Harvest Church. You can go their praise bands myspace music page by searching "Harvest Praise". They also lead worship with a harder edged band on "Extreme Teen Night" for Harvest Church, in Warner Robins Georgia. Shelly is very active at Harvest Church as well, from leading worship for the children, to running "Media Shout". "God has been so good to us, and we finally were awakened.
