Oremuz is an all Filipino band from Manila Philippines. It was founded in 2004 by guitarist Rams Aquino,then vocalist Ronell Lanuza and Debi Mendez. Their music is variously described as gothic metal, as well as symphonic metal in some media, although in an interview, Rams said they generally fell into a gothic rock genre.The band became prominent in the underground scene due to their constant gigs all over Manila. It would however take until 2007, when they became known by the general public, with them winning 2nd Place at the World Battle of the Bands Philippines Division held at Amoranto Theatre. Sincethen they have relaesed a demo cd and have played at events such as PULP Summer Slam 2008 also held at Amoranto Stadium.

Formation
Friends Rams Aquino(on guitar),Ronell Lanuza(on vocals) and Debi Mendez began the band in 2004, quickly adding Chris Vasquez on vocals, Jeff Robles on guitars, Marvin Barayuga on bass, Erika Anne Flores ..boards, and Edzel Gavina on drums. They played their first gig at Liwasang Bayan Ng Cainta "Rock Fest"on December 11,2004
Line Up Changes (2005)
The following year, February 2005, all members except for Rams and Ronnell decided to quit the band.They recruited close friend and fan Russell Jean to play bass, Gay Chavez and Shekaina Gabitanan on vocals,and lastly Mico Lirio on drums. Two months later founding member Ronell had to leave the band due to some family matters. Rainier Francisco came to replace him on guitars. A couple of gigs later, Rainier left the band to join "BLuE BOY BITES BACK". He was replaced by Stephen de leon. Before the year ended, Mico also left the band and sessionist Jeff Lectura came to fill in the slot. November 2005, they found their Melodic Synth keyboards through Gretchen Encarnacion.Thus completing the second line up for the band.
Line Up Changes (2006) and Oremuz Demo
Another series of line up changes again was experienced by the band. Jeff Lectura and Gretchen Encarnacion had to quit the band to pursue their studies. Pearl Munar replaced Gay Chavez on vocals, Arvien "Abs" Encina came to replace Jeff Lectura, and Nightmare Synth Paul "Pong" Katigbak, from the band Vermis and Legion of Satyr, replaced Gretchen ..boards. Abigail Sarthou came onboard as session vocals for Pearl. From October to December 2006, the band recorded their demo EP, Melody of Sanctimony at Wombworks Studios.Included on the demo was Oremuz' first 3 original compositions: "Melody Of Sanctimony", "Cold And Dark" and "Hades". A new song "Babylon" was also recorded at Wombworks Studios and the instrumental "Atmospheric Depression" which was recorded at Joc TV Studios were also included on the demo EP.
Line Up Changes (2007)
Line Up changes seemed to follow the band and by June 2007 another change on the band line up seemed imminent. Shekaina left the band to pursue her studies. She was replaced by Jamaica Caraig. Treah Nezza Yumang replaced Pearl on vocals .Stephen De Leon also had to leave due to other priorities.And before the third quarter of the year ended, the band completed their 2007 line-up...Treah and Jam on vocals, Rams and Lovel on guitars, Russel Jean and Keetrina Jean on Bass, Pong ..boards and Abs on drums.
World Battle of the Bands (2007)
September 22, 2007, after a series of elimination rounds, they Won as 2nd Placer for the World Battle of the Bands Philippines Division held at Amoranto Theater. Couple of months later Trea Decided to quit the band because of family matters.
Final Line Up (2008) and PULP Summer Slam Forever
Trea was replaced by Sensi. Her first appearance was on January 5, 2008 at the Rakista's Rakrakan Series 6 held at Dayo Bar. April 26, 2008, the band was able to perform at Pulp Summer Slam 2008. It was a defining moment for the band being their first time to play at a Summer Slam event; and also performing at such a large group of people and sharing the stage with established and known artists. June 2008 saw the departure of Jam Caraig and the return of Shekaina Gabitanan on vocals....
