At the age of 10, in winter 1997 Martin Matiske started playing and mixing records at his home in Munich. His friend Suat Günes, owner of a record shop in Munich, introduced him to DJ Hell, who himself invited him playing at a Gigolo Night at the famous Ultraschall Techno Club in Munich. He was 11 years old that time. Supported by his father he soon started producing electronic music in his studio at home. 3 years later, in 2002 he released his first 4 track EP Stars&Galaxy on Gigolo Records. The EP had very positiv reviews worldwide. Dave Clark put Stars&Galaxy no. 1 on his playlist.
Today his musical backround is much more open to other sources. Inspired by the Clash, he bought an electric guitar and already produced some songs, which will be integrated live in his DJ sets.

Title track Blackout is a no holds barred electro romp. It is the newest production from the youngest DJ ever. He was only 11 years old when he was discovered by HELL in Munich. MARTIN already had one highly successful release in 2002, Stars & Galaxy (Gigolo 97) on Gigolo Records. That killer EP even made it onto DAVE CLARKs playlist at the time. Blackout marks a welcome return on the scene for Gigolo wonderboy MATISKE.
B-side track Japanese Science is another massive original MATISKE production. It first featured on International Gigolos compilation CD Nine, one of Gigolos top-selling album releases this year. Comparisons between this track and fellow Gigolos JAPANESE TELECOM are valid and not just because of the name. Now this massive robotic electro number is available for the first time on vinyl which is sure to please all those DJs hoping to follow in the footsteps of young MARTIN MATISKE.
His work so far this year has already included a remix of the DAKAR & GRINSER track Better times on Disko B. With this new EP MARTIN MATISKE is all set to step up a gear and take it to the next level. Especially now he is old enough to legally play out in all clubs he has been attending for years.
