About Me

Klein Records is an independent electronic label based in Vienna founded 1996 by Christian Candid.
Klein is one of Austrias most interesting and prestigious off-mainstream music platforms with an additional office in Berlin. The vision that defines Klein, namely to seek its very own unmistakeable sound and language, has been a continuous process ever since the labels early days, and one that has paid off well. Based on a DIY concept and an almost family-like relationship between label and individual artists, Klein Records has managed to create a solid homebase for highly diverse musical forms of expression that can only inadequately be subsumed under the Sound Of Vienna" tag. For Klein has a broad vision that extends beyond its immediate surroundings, encompassing kindred spirits in Zuerich, London or Berlin, and recognising those as places of intersections in a network created by stylistic soulmates who keep exchanging their sounds and data, their visuals and visions.
