We have a full international line-up of cutting edge live electronic musicians, DJs and VJs, covering a blend of genres including Techno, Deep House, Minimal, Dubstep, Dub, Nu-Jazz, Down tempo, Experimental, Ambient etc.
The Festival takes place in and around Baskerville Hall, on the Welsh/ English Border, famous from Arthur Conan Doyles' Sherlock Holmes story 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'
The Hall was built in 1839 by Sir Thomas Baskerville as a party house, and we are making sure that it is still being used appropriately !
There will be three music/visual spaces, one featuring uptempo dance, a second more relaxed dance space, and a chillout. In addition there will be music on the lawn saturday afternoon / early evening.
As well as the audio visual delights on offer, you can walk in the beautiful and extensive grounds, swim in the indoor swimming pool, take a free sauna, eat at a choice of two restaurant/ cafes including a vegetarian / vegan cafe, browse in the market / record fair, or even take in an underground film in the cinema. For as long as I can remember, music has always been a part of my life."Behind the decks Roberto Q. Ingram..s main objective is to entertain, take you to another place, most importantly control the way you dance".
When I was working as a dancer on Soul Train in Hollywood in 1974, I saw Herbie Hancock perform live on the keyboards with his DJ, DSL, scratching to his hit "Rocket". I was completely blown away by his talent, weeks later, I bought myself two turntables and a mixer.
Roberto Q. Ingram was born in Ohio, raised in California.For as long as I can remember, music has always been a part of my life.Growing up in LA, Roberto Q. Ingram got his first break as a dancer for the famous TV show Soul Train. Soul Train is a long-running American music-related syndicated television program. Roberto toured with his dancing team performing for Japan for Asics Tiger cooperation, and at time Roberto also the lead choreographer.While working as a dancer on Soul Train in Hollywood in the late 70..s, Roberto saw Herbie Hancock perform live on the keyboards with his DJ, DSL, scratching to his hit "Rocket". he was completely blown away weeks later, he bought two turntables and a mixer.
With the inspiration acquired he began collecting hip hop, funk & soul, house records and perfecting his skills which paved the way to his djing at private parties and weddings. Roberto soon found himself holding residencies at the Hollywood Palace, Spice, The Mayan and a plethora of LA venues. This solidified Ingrams club stature, while spinning at large parties for established celebrities such as Kid Creole and The Coconuts, Janet Jackson, Arsenial Hall and Magic Johnson and Ice T, then on to popular underground events such as Tribal Gathering and Sketch Pad.1990 brought Ingram deeper into the house & techno scene, where he began refining his sound to funky deep and edgy.
Relocating in 1995 to Munich, Germany he has done a tremendous amount of event and club work across Europe such as the F-Scope 2006, 10 Years World League Event 2007,Celebration Of Life 2007, Valkana Beach Festival 1996-2002 and the Berlin Love Parade an important milestone in any DJs career. Ingram has also partaken in the annual Mayday festival, for which he was featured on the 1998 album of the same name.Roberto Q. Ingram has managed to scratch and gnaw his way up to 16 years, establishing his name as a DJ, representing and never stopping to push a sophisticated approach of progressive dance music and culture forward. Roberto Q. Ingram played along side heavy hitters like Kevin Saunderson, Jay Denham, Anthony Shaker, Claude Young and Felix The Housecat. For Roberto Q. Ingram, artists like Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig (Detroit / Plante E) or King Britt (Philadelphia) are perfect examples of how music can be used as a positive tool, whilst still embracing and embodying black roots. Intelligent techno or electronica, Ingrams sets interprets music as emotional, charismatic and extravagant.
