Amaranth are a four piece from Derry . Brothers Mark and Ryan formed the band mid/end of 2004. They recruited Stephen Hamilton on drums and Johnny Scott , a good friend of Stephen was brought in to play bass. The band took a bit of time out in 2005 - start of 2006 to go over the set and perfect their sound. They went to work and planned to record an EP in the summer 2006. They recorded their record "The Speaker Killer EP " with Neal Calderwood at manor park studio . The bands aim now is to take to the road and promote their music.
